About Brahmavidya (R.)
Brahmavidya (R.) is the organising body behind the Śatamāna RāSa birth centenary celebrations. Dedicated to the preservation and propagation of traditional Indian knowledge systems, Brahmavidya (R.) carries forward the vision of Dr. R. Sathyanarayana by supporting research, publication, performance and education in the fields of musicology, danceology, Sanskrit scholarship and Indology.
The name Brahmavidya, meaning "knowledge of Brahman" or "supreme knowledge," reflects the organisation's commitment to the highest ideals of the Indian intellectual and spiritual tradition. Rooted in the guru-śiṣya paramparā, Brahmavidya (R.) works to ensure that the scholarly and artistic legacy of Dr. Sathyanarayana remains a living, growing tradition, not merely a memory.
